FASTER HORSES SIGHTINGS

about

"We play both kinds of music country...and western"

-Eli alger

The Faster Horses have quickly established themselves as one of the most exciting and compelling live acts in country music today. While they’ve opened for a range of national headliners currently dominating the airwaves, what truly sets them apart is the electric connection they build with every crowd—earning standing ovations at every show and turning first-time listeners into lifelong fans.

Performing primarily original material, The Faster Horses have been drawing massive crowds across the country on their own headlining national tour, consistently breaking attendance records at county fairs and festivals. Their momentum is fueled not by hype, but by authentic artistry, tireless work ethic, and songs that hit home.

One standout moment came in their home state of Iowa, when the band took the stage at the legendary Sauerkraut Days Festival in Lisbon, shattering the event’s 100+ year attendance record. Fans parked more than a mile away along the highway just to witness the performance—and sang every word to their anthem “Rednexico”, which was requested and played five times that night.

The band is especially proud of the raw and unedited live footage circulating online. Every video reflects exactly what audiences experienced in real time—no overdubs, no edits, just pure live performance. Their tight musicianship, powerful vocals, and commanding stage presence speak volumes about the dedication and chemistry behind the scenes.

In the words of the band:

“We don’t show up to play 15-second clips of songs. We’re here to take people on a 90-minute journey—and that’s exactly what we do.”

With thousands of shows under their belts accumulatively and a reputation for delivering emotionally resonant, high-energy, and unforgettable sets, The Faster Horses continue to raise the bar for what a modern country band can be—real, relentless, and ready to bring the house down.

The Faster Horses are more than just a good time band, they bring songs of their own that address hard to tackle issues that connect with people so deeply, that folks use them to heal, find hope in dark times, and in some cases, change the ENTIRE TRAJECTORY of people’s lives… this has become apparent with 2 of their songs, “The Flood” & “Cowboy Down”, read more at the buttons below

Some Words From Eli

Where did the name FASTER HORSES come from?

423454439_1704878176582556_5180442657710547438_n.jpg

As he held up his glass, he said:

“In the words of your late grandfather, Larry Elmo Alger, “cheers boys, here’s to FASTER HORSES!”…”

I immediately questioned “Did he really used to say that?!”. When Dad said “oh ya”, I exclaimed, a tad emotionally, “boys! that’s the band name… we are The Faster Horses”.

It was unanimous.

Long story short, these roots run deep.

The story behind how The Faster Horses got their name is one of my favorite tales to tell. The boys and I had been having trouble deciding on what the band name should be for a few years up until this monumental event.

We had just finished up a show at a big college HonkyTonk in northern Iowa, I’ll never forget that show, it was the first time my Lead Guitar Player at the time or I had ever crowd Surfed. We rock the house that night. So naturally, after the show my old man had bought the band a round of shots to celebrate jobs well done.
